The Rich Jerk: A Scam or A Great Product?

If you've been on the Internet over the last year you're almost bound to have heard of "The Rich Jerk".

The Rich Jerk: a Marketing Odyssey Part 1 is the first part of a six part blog series about "The Rich Jerk" and his product and an affiliates journey to market it.

The net result is that the affiliate drops little gems into each part of the blog without giving away any of the real information.

At the end (for all his American readers) he gives the Rich Jerks ebook away as a free gift. However, the slight downside is that you have to agree to be fodder for a lead generating machine.

Personally if the Rich Jerk is as good as is claimed I'd be tempted to buy it anyway...

But is it a scam. The short answer at the moment is probably not.

And so I'm going to continue keeping an eye on the marketing of this product and will comment further in due course.

This is a great idea to track this. I am very interested in the Rich Jerk and want to determine if it does work and earn people money rather than being a scam. Keep up the good work and I look forward to the results!

Rich Jerk? Ha! More like Rich JUNK!

I read the trainings and tried the programs. This was not for me.

RJ's program would be great for anyone without a concience who likes to mislead people just to take their money.

I could not believe the kinds of scams they suggest running on people.

Tricks like pretending you have a dog to give away, and posting fake craigslist ads to build a list of dog lovers and spam them on products they don't need, so they can "qualify" to get a dog that doesn't exist.

Give me a break, I like to make money, but I have integrity and am not about to spend my time doing something so WORTHLESS.

How about doing something that actually helps people, AND make money, AND be able to feel good about it at the end of the day?

Is that too much to ask?

I've read his e-book and while I can't say it's a scam, it's a book packed with more or less known information and some unethical practices which reads away very easy on 64 pages. I leave it up to anyone whether they follow his advise. What bugs me though is that all and everyone is going to follow his direct instructions and write a SCAM review for his e-book, hence the Internet is full of scam reviews trying to sell his book. Very clever right. After reading his book, I've wrote this article to summarize some of my thoughts.

All the best and enjoy!

Hi, I purchased the The Rich Jerk e-book on Ebay, a couple months ago. It stated it had resell rights, so i listed it. The next day it was pulled off my listings. Ebay sent this to me:

You can not submit your listing due to the following problems Attention Seller: In order to maintain a safe trading environment, selling limits are occasionally placed on accounts listing items that are reportedly favored by counterfeiters. At this time, you are limited in the number of items you can list (or revise) in any 7 day period. If you have any additional questions about this subject, email us at Customer Support.
We sincerely value you as a member of our trading community and look forward to a continued successful relationship. Click here for a window with eBay's policy on replica or counterfeit items
Click here for more information on limits that may affect your
selling activity

I've written the Trust and Safety numerous times, and I just get a generic letter back. I've written to the owner of the ebook and no reply. I paid something like 1.50 for the ebook, it stated it had resell rights, but obvisously it didn't.. Should the person who sold it to me get punished? and not me? I had no Idea. I need help with this matter too, so if anyone out there can help me clear this matter, that would be great. Be careful about digital ebooks that say they have resell rights. I no longer sell any type of ebook now, but i am limeted now and how much i can sell, and ebay dosnt let me know much about this either.
Help!
